FAQ

  • Granite vs. Quartz: What’s the Difference?

Granite is a natural stone, quarried straight from the earth. No two slabs are exactly alike—each one features its own unique color variations and movement, making it a one-of-a-kind choice for your space.

Quartz, on the other hand, is a man-made material, composed of crushed stone, resins, and pigments. It offers a more uniform look and comes in a wide variety of colors and patterns, including designs that mimic natural stone.

Both granite and quartz are extremely durable, and offer:

    Heat resistance

    Stain resistance

    Scratch resistance

However, no surface is 100% resistant to all wear and tear. To protect your investment, we always recommend using cutting boards, trivets, and cleaning up spills promptly.

  • Pricing Overview

Pricing is primarily determined by the color and type of stone you select. With natural stone like granite, there’s a wide variety of colors and patterns—making it difficult to provide a fixed range without seeing your preferences.

That said, here’s a general idea:

Granite typically ranges from $60–$120 per square foot, depending on the rarity and origin of the stone. More exotic options tend to be at the higher end of the range.

Quartz also varies by brand and color, with pricing usually starting around $75 per square foot, and going up to $120 per square foot for premium selections.

We’re happy to walk you through in-stock options or source specific colors to match your design goals and budget.

  • Stone Selection

We’re able to source nearly any stone from virtually any manufacturer. If the stone needs to be special-ordered or shipped from out of state, it may take a little longer to arrange, which can impact the timeline slightly. We’ll always keep you informed on timing and delivery as your project progresses.

  • Lead Times & Stone Availability

Our typical lead time is 4–6 weeks from template to installation. However, if you choose from our in-stock options, your project can be completed in as little as 2 weeks from start to finish.

Please note that timelines may vary depending on stone availability and delivery schedules. We’ll keep you informed every step of the way to ensure a smooth and timely process.

  • Getting Started with Your Project

To begin, all we need are the rough dimensions of your project. With that, we can provide you with a free, no-obligation estimate.

If you decide to move forward, we require a 60% deposit based on the estimate. This secures your spot on our schedule and allows us to complete the template—where we take precise measurements of your space.

After the template is complete, your material is ordered and prepared for fabrication. Once we have a fabrication timeline, we’ll reach out to schedule your installation.

Then the best part—your beautiful new countertops are installed!
The remaining balance is due at the time of installation.
